Cars are coming along fine. We will leave Friday morning the 20th. We will post a trip log. That should be good for a few laughs.

What are you complaining about. I was the one driving. You got to sit back in your Toterhome and sip champagne and eat cheese and laugh at me. J/K it has been a long trip and so far no problems. KNOCK ON WOOD. We will update again once we get to Florida. __________________ Spending DAD's Money |

There was an old song named, “His Car Went Beep-Beep-Beep” or something like that. That was our day in our new toterhome. We left very prepared….we did not know how to use anything in the RV. Every time we did something incorrectly or we ran down a battery…the darn thing beeped at us…the entire interior of that units beeps. Next trip I bring my gun! However, the engine keeps chugging along. I also fainted at the first diesel fuel bill…..does not compare with my mini-van. Tomorrow we reach Florida and Tuesday afternoon we will be in Daytona…..we have some family to visit along the way. __________________ If you need it done, ask one of the guys...if you need it done now, ask one of the girls. |

We reached Daytona yesterday afternoon and got to registration five minutes prior to closing; a stroke of luck. We parked the truck in the holding area and left our Cobalts in the good hands of the Grand-Am/Daytona officials. This morning was a bit of a disappointment. We stood guard by our cars in the holding area from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m., then could not unload (or even open the rear gates of the trailers) until notified by Grand-Am officials which took about another hour. At 6:00 p.m. we were literally thrown out of the track. That did not leave a lot of time to work on the cars. So tomorrow morning at 7:30 we start again. Our new sponsor, Levan’s Caterers of Orlando, came by the drop off the tables and take a look at the cars. David was a very nice man and seemed as excited about catering the event as we were having him there. More to follow tomorrow. __________________ If you need it done, ask one of the guys...if you need it done now, ask one of the girls. |
